It finally feels like fall is sneaking in, and you know what that means—it’s pumpkin season! If you’re like me, there’s just something about wandering through a patch, picking out the perfect pumpkin, and grabbing a warm fall treat that makes the season feel complete. Luckily, Georgia has some great spots to do just that, and several of them are already open for the season.
Here are a few local favorites you might want to add to your fall plans:
Southern Belle is always a crowd-pleaser. They reopen for Fall on the Farm September 17 and run through November 2. Think pumpkins, a corn maze, pig races, and yes—those pumpkin-spice donuts everyone talks about. It’s one of those places where you can spend the whole day without even realizing it.
If you’re headed up to North Georgia, Jaemor’s Harvest Celebration & Corn Maze starts September 13. Weekends in September are packed with hayrides, slides, and a pumpkin patch, then it’s open daily from late September through early November. And don’t leave without trying their fried pies (trust me on this one).
This one’s a North Georgia classic. Burt’s opened for the season back on August 29, and they’re open every day. The wagon rides through the mountains are worth the trip alone, and the sea of pumpkins makes it nearly impossible to leave without one (or three). Parking’s free, and hayrides are about $6.50.
Lane might be famous for peaches, but they know how to do fall, too. Their pumpkin patch and corn maze kick into full swing in October, and the market and café make it easy to turn the visit into a whole outing. If you’re in Middle or South Georgia, this is a must.
From September 13 through November 2, Stone Mountain goes all out with their pumpkin festival. It’s not just pumpkins—it’s glowing displays, themed activities, and a full fall experience. If you’re closer to Atlanta, this one’s perfect for a weekend afternoon.
🍁 Whether you’re in it for the pumpkin spice donuts, the wagon rides, or just a photo with the biggest pumpkin you can carry, these spots are a fun way to kick off the season.
So, which one are you thinking about visiting first?
